I ordered some spline drive lug nuts to fit my spare as you can’t get a reg socket on it. Looks like the spines don’t have as big a shoulder? Is this OK?

Factory rim or aftermarket?
If factory, do not use the spline, completely different seat style.
If aftermarket, the spline will be fine.

You will be fine with the spline. It is a bit of an illusion due to the 2 different seat styles.
