Check engine light no flash

Hello everyone. I have a 2017 pioneer 1k. The display that shows the park gear and reverse isn't showing. And also engine light stays lit. But no code flash. Any help would be very appreciated

Is it just showing dashes? Regardless, I'd check to make sure your battery is good.

No dashes in the gear display. And if I start it in high position on shifter it goes away. But if started in park engine light displays with no code

Battery is good 13.3 not started and 14.2 started

How are you starting the machine with it in High gear? It should only start in Park or Neutral.

Make sure your grounds are all tight and that the connections at the battery are tight as well. These machines are very finnicky with voltage and loose grounds can cause all sorts of weird issues.

It'll start any gear with foot on the break. It'll start park neutral without brake. And I've ran through every ground. Might be a dealer trip in the future 🙄

I am without knowledge on this but:
Is there a shift indicator switch type item in there that might be loose? That would make it not show on display and allow it to start in other than park/ neutral if it’s not working?

Do you happen to have any kind of reverse lighting? Starting in h would keep you from crossing reverse in the shift gate. If you back feed a ground into the back up harness it can freak things out.

I think your on to something, a couple years ago I figured out I could start it in gear as long as the brake was pushed, then it started doing weird things, like rpms fluctuating wildly after a restart? I quit doing that, now in Park with brake on it tries to do the fluctuating, take foot off the brake normal RPMs All this started before I installed the back up lights?

No sir no reverse lighting at all.

Fixed problem. It was the shift angle sensor. Thx for everyone that helped
