I have a 2015 pioneer 500 , just got it and I love it, was riding a few days ago and my check engine light came on, 9 short flashes, can someone help me narrow down the problem. Hoping it's something simple

Thanks but I got it figured out after doing some research, found it was the IAT sensor, took some mass airflow sensor cleaner and sprayed it down and the light went away!

I had my CEL come on today with the same 9 short flashes. I looked at the sensor and instead saw the wires were cut off right at the base of the plug. Anybody have an idea how to take apart the plug so I can reattach the wires?

OK. First the gray cover comes out.
Use a pic and stick it in that hole and gently pry up.

Now you will see the pin catches inside.
Pin catch is where the red dot is. Lift it up and pull the wire out. Each pin has its own catch.

I got the gray piece off and the rubber grommet inside the plug but nothing else seems moveable?

I marked the pin catches.
In this image they need to go down.
Both are black and plastic.

Tip.
Work one wire at a time. clamp the wire with a pair of vice grips.

I guess I just cut off the old wire and solder the new wire in its place? Thank you so much for your help. Just another reason to love this forum! Sometimes it saves you money lol
