P1000 Broken Fox Shocks

Any body had the shaft guards break on their rear Fox shocks?

Shocks have less than 1000 miles on them and both the left and right rear are broken. Not sure it matters but it sure would be a pain to remove the spare part from each one.

I just noticed the other nite i have one broken. Figure ill just let it be for now.

It can't fall out but it probably adds wear and tear to the spring. It would be a pain to cut up and remove

I was gonna back off the preload them compress the spring..it comes out of the bottom best i could tell.

keep an eye on the bottom shaft were it goes into the mount base my buddys snapped right off had to get another shock to go retrieve it fox said it was abuse and wouldn't warranty it.
