when you guys install the blower fans where are most of you running the hose? i haven't seen pics of the hose, just the mounted fans. didn't know if it would work better to "pull" air in from outside and discharge it on the motor or, "pull" heat from the motor area and discharge it through the hose directed outside somewhere. this thing will roast your butt in weather over 80 when your trail riding or moving slow working at the farm!

Throw the hose away...just point it at the exhaust manifold /header
that's kinda what i thought. i was just concerned that the heat blowing to the rear like that would make it unbearable for the passengers in the back seats.

mine works great without the hose.
if you want to use it as a heater in the winter, you could hook the hose up on the suction side, then drill a hole in front of the seat... take suction from the cab for summer cooling, and reverse the fan in winter to provide heat.

I'm n Alabama and one 4" fan pointed directly at the exhaust header is enough.

It saves power and a little less noise.

What would a reversing switch look like? I'm going this route.

Thanks to all that helped. I installed mine this eve. It sure does drop the seat temp pretty quickly when turned on.

I just added a hose to a duct in front of seat box ,used it for the first time today 10 degrees out and it provided significant heat to cab ( melted the snow off my boots) very happy I have it wired to work both ways!

What type of vent did you use on the seat box?
