I have the same covers as @TerryH which are a very nice quality but I’m not home and don’t have her email.

I have the blue and grey eBay shock covers, like the ones TerryH shared, and they work well enough. At rest they are long enough for full coverage of the entire coilover, but they are not long enough to keep the entire thing covered when the suspension is fully extended so after rides mine end up slid down a bit. But they are long enough to cover and protect the shaft, which was my main concern.

I put no name ebay ones on. $61.50 with free shipping for 4 of them. They fit good.

Does it stay in place or do they slide up and stay?

They stay in place. They seem a little long when you install them, but that is probably for the shocks to droop.

They have actually stayed straight even. I only turn them when I wash it.

And the link above are the ones I bought.

Do you remember back in the day when every one started putting fork boots on, only to find out it was hard to clean the fork seals because dirt still got in? Just asking.

Is this really a problem or just an effort to gussie things up and make them look purty?

I don't know, all I know I had as many seal failures with boots, but that was dirt bikes?
