Ok I had a decent recovery kit with 2 small straps, 2 d rings and gloves in it and it’s disappeared. Recommendations on a good replacement? I thought about getting a winch rope extension as well since I have the narrow spool winch. Amazon and eBay links appreciated!

I think @Delton came across a pre packaged recovery kit at tractor supply.

May just be my horrible memory but I honestly don't remember this lol. I'm sure tsc does have one though. I just have a tow strap and snatch block. I probably need to be more prepared than that though.

Not a bad idea, Depends on the dirt.
Right. I use them in sandy lake bottoms all the time and they get a little tough to turn when you get down a few feet. I don't think it will be easy to turn these in dry, packed earth.

Doesn’t your chinook have a winch on it?

I just added a hi lifter jack to my collection today. Invaluable if your blackwater evo comes off a rim and you need to change a tire @Delton

We used an old rear axle shaft sharpened to a point removed the lug nuts and used the holes to insert a shackle. We would drive it in at an angle with a sledge and then pull it out with the rig after we got out.

I’ve also dug a hole crosswise deep enough and used a highlift jack as a land anchor.
