Search around on the forum, there's a guy on here somewhere that makes them, they look great and built better. He can customize it an away you want even with rotopax, spare tire, and a cooler holder.

All I've seen are the pvc ones. I want to be able to put a rotopax and possibly other things on it and not worry. What should I search for? The standards "bed extender" doesn't bring anything like that back.

I don't remember where I saw it. It was one of those threads that started off with a certain topic and after about three pages it evolved in to a whole different subject about custom extenders. The guy that made them was a welding teacher at a small college, that's about all I remember. I try to look around some more.

I think this might be it, but I don't think this is the welding teacher. I'm sure he could make this to go around the tailgate with it down.

I haven't seen the extenders, just spare tire holder with Rotopax. Would be great to find and extender as well as all the above. I'd get one for sure!

It is on there, you need to click the OEM accessories tab at top then go through menus. Got mine from them for $229 free shipping.

Will the bed extender work on the 1000 3p. I do not see any reason why it would not but thought I would see if someone could give me some input and assure me that it will fit before I buy it.

I just asked a neighbor who works at the Honda dealer and he said the bed extender only fits the 1000-5

OK. Thanks for the info. I was hoping it would fit. I have a toolbox in the bed of mine to hold my hunting gear and keep it dry. I would have liked to gain the extra room so when I harvest a deer I would have room to load and transport without taking the toolbox out first. Guess I will have to re think the situation.

The 1000-5 is narrower due to the roll cage that cover the rear passenger/ bed area
