New to the Pioneer and SxS UTV's in general with exactly 1 week in. I have a few questions (probably just the start):

I just completed adding a #80 roller chain link to the tailgate cables. Slick and elegant. But I'm more than a little disappointed with the lack of anchor points in the side or top of the bed. Is anyone adding toggles or tiedowns to the bed area and how are you doing it? Never mind, found what I needed on Amazon that works with the stock bed bolts.

Has anyone mounted a chain saw scabbard?

Also really getting a bit frustrated finding winch and snowplow mounts. Listed compatibility for many mounts stops at '22. Wishing to stay with an american product, I'll probably spring for a Warn Axon 45 or VRX 45. Does anyone run one of those on a '24 machine and what mounting plates did you find?

I'm going to use this as a general farm UTV and for snow plowing, not mudder or long trail. Will add the second battery setup this fall. More than enough ?'s for now.

Thanks!

Start here at the Hondasxs.com store
Anything and everything else for a Pioneer is available by searching this forum, search bar upper right.

Maybe one of the Moderators will move your thread question to the General Pioneer category and out of the Gen Talon?
A trip through my money pit link below will help find many of your mods but not help your' wallet:rolleyes:

Welcome from Oregoneifornia

This is what I use on my 2020 Pioneer 1000-5. I do not have a picture with my cordless ryobi mounted but here is what I use for my chainsaw. It works well but I do not use it often. It is easy enough to install and remove.

I am pretty sure the 22 winch mounts fit the 24. @SuperATV probably has a mount for you. Most winches even when made in the USA use foreign parts.

Someone with more knowledge will be along soon I am sure.

I’ll tell you what I use. 72 inch Denali plow and mount sold in the club store. Not sure about the part number for the plow mount I can probly find it. For the winch I used a Harbor freight Badlands 5500 apex long drum. I know it’s Chinese but most winches I’ve seen are and they have a great reputation so there’s that. My winch is on a Kfi one piece mount. As far as I saw this is the only mount that allows you to mount the winch upside down changing the cables geometry for the better. I’m sure I can get the part numbers if you need
Any pictures

Thanks for your replies. I don't know how I managed to post this in the Talon forum? Maybe a mod can move it? So here is the machine with less than 4 hours. It was bone stock to keep buyer's remorse to a minimum but I'll cry more later when I add the dual battery set up, winch/plow as well as a windshield:

So far, I added the Seven Sparta tie downs from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H9ZKRH6/?tag=sxsweb24-20

and K-Flex 1 5/8" rubber pipe around the roll bar so I can bungee things like a pole saw: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M0GCPNG/?tag=sxsweb24-20

and the afore mentioned #80 roller chain links to the tailgate cables.

I mounted my boomless sprayer to a piece of 5/8" ply so I can take it on and off easily. Underneath, I mounted 2 short sections of 1 1/2" x 1/8 angle iron to keep it from sliding fore and aft that fit into the space between the tailgate and bed. Not professional but it will get me spraying while the window is open. The flanges in the middle of the boom swivel down and allow me to turn off the outer nozzles and spray just the center line of my gravel roads.

Robobrainiac, I don't have any obvious attachment points on the 3 model. I already have a Kolpin holder which I'll transfer from my grizzly when and if I figure out how to do it. I'm spoiled by the presence of a front rack on the ATV's vs this. I don't like the front rack options I've seen so far because they hinder access to the front compartment.

This morning I discovered that I have to latch the tailgate on the right side first or the hoop on the left side can't reach the hook. Already used to the touchy gas pedal so I doubt I'll be adding the Throttle Max. I don't anticipate extended rides. Love the gears over the CVT which is why I bought Honda (in addition to the fact my '97 Foreman has needed zilch in repairs other than a couple of carb clean outs and a clutch adjustment).

Not married to the Warn winch idea. I have a Ramsey on my Grizzly that is twice what the Warn is on the Foreman but Ramsey doesn't seem to have the same lines as in 2006.
