Let me preface my statement by saying that I am a new member and still learning about my machine and the forum.
My previous posts have been regarding tire selection and because of the answers I had gotten I was able to find what I think will work for me.
Now I wonder if it is worth my while to purchase 4 rims for these tires so I have the ability to switch if needed.
I suspect I would be adding a snow plow to my 520 and the original tires may come in handy for that.
That brings me to the title of my post.
Should I consider that extra set to be bead lock rims?
I have run across a site that has a set that will fit and it is at a very reasonable price....actually lower than stock rims.
Is this something that anyone has used and are there any issues I need to know before making the purchase?
Thanks for any insight you can share.

I doubt that the P500/P520 has enough power to spin the tires on the rim, and even if it did they are tubeless tires so you would never have to worry about ripping the valve stem off. With that said my vote would be for no bead lock since they would just complicate tire installation and removal. Just my thoughts, I am interested in hearing other thoughts.

I am speaking from the experience of a 1000-5

Beadlocks also keep the tire on the wheel when you air down low for traction. When you get a good bump wrong you can pop the tire off the bead. The beadlock keeps this from happening.

Beadlock wheels are time consuming when it comes to fastening the ring. It can take me almost an hour to properly torque my five wheels after removing the ring for paint.

I like my beadlocks. When funds are available my Teryx4 will be getting beadlock wheels.

I have never popped a bead off my Pioneer while using the OE wheels. I enjoy the confidence beadlock wheels provide for me. I have popped the bead off my Honda 300ex and my Polaris 500 Magnum.

Re: very low tire pressure . . . I wonder if the little P5 weighs enough for it to do any good really. Lowest I've gone is 8 psi.

Not too many people are gonna wheel the P5 really hard. Two that I know of are @lee and @The Green Goat.

I've run as low as 5psi (not recommended) to try and keep up with some of the guys I ride with.
It got me over V-notch once (but famously not the 2nd time I tried it).
I also got a pinch flat running at speed to keep up with said guys.

The stock rims have a significant bead hump to reduce the possibility of de-beading a tire - but it's not perfect.
I have never de-beaded a stock rim.
But it could still happen.

Side note: I put Method bead grip rims on my truck.
I like the idea of a non bead lock wheel that holds on to the bead.
However I tested my current compressor and it takes 12 minutes to pump up 1 of my 33" tires from 15 to 65 psi.
And the duty cycle is 15 on/45 off.
Thinking I want an ARB twin compressor for the 100% duty cycle, faster air up and redundancy when remote.

If the reason you want beed locks is to swap tires seasonally, I would think it would be cheaper and easier to buy a set of take offs, or equivalent, and just swap rim and tire together.

Edited to add: oops I went back and reread your post. Disregard what I said. I am a known idiot.

I can add that I run 7 psi in my Kenda Bear Klaw HTR's on the stock wheels all the time. I've not de-beaded one yet and I've pushed it hard in Tennessee, South Dakota and Moab.

I settled on the 7 psi for the tires do not "squish-out" from the weight of the machine, added gear and people. Plus the ride quality is much improved as well (still have the stock shocks). Oh, no funny tire wear either.

I would recommend finding a set of take-off wheels, or if you are going much taller of a tire, you could get wheels with a different off-set to widen the foot print without spacers.

I have bead locks on mine just because I got a killer deal on the tire and wheel package. When i picked up P5 the dealer had this set that someone ordered and paid half down but never picked them up so i got them for half off. After riding for a while i had to re-torque them and it is time consuming. I doubt they are needed as i have run ATV's on flat tires and still had to break bead loose to replace tire. But if a good deal and you like them go for it. I do like the looks of them, can be a pain getting the crude out of all the bolt holes.

I run 14" beadlocks on mine. I got them for a few reasons. 1. I liked the wheel look and it didn't come in a BL-less version. 2. I considered it extra security against debeading in case I ever had had a flat. With as far out as some of these rides are. being able to ride on a flat for awhile to get myself into a better spot to address the problem is a realistic scenario I might run into. 3. I'd rather have them than not. Yes, the torque process took FOREVER, but once it and the subsequent retorques were done, I've never had another issue. And, if for some reason I need to swap a tire onto a different rim in the field, all I need is a 10mm ratchet; no tire irons required.

You forgot "And it was the DEI thing to do at the time." But not anymore.
