I am thinking of placing a full size deep cycle battery under the driver seat of my P700-2. Are the original battery cables long enough to move from the passenger side to the driver side or will they need to be extended?

Thanks

I just checked it out and I’m gonna say you have to extend or replace with longer cables.

That is what I thought, thanks. I am not anywhere close to my machine to look for myself.

No problem. I couldn’t grab a pic of the ground but it connects to the passenger side of the engine and looks like maybe two feet long.

Why not just leave the stock battery alone, and install an isolater for a dual battery setup? Easy peesy. Mudwing is correct, the ground wire is probably 2' or less long, and connects to the engine under the passenger seat. The positive is probably 6-8" long, ran directly to the relay(?).
