I have that winch and it works well. I have made several long pulls up extremely steep hills and it never gives up.

any one try it for alot of mud or wet areas? tends to be were the exensive ones are better. i know a few people with warns that have to clean them out every couple years. i had a superwinch though that i never had to but i had it on a receiver mount i got from harbor freight and kept it in the box

Good catch. That is the winch I plan to put on my P5 soon. Already have the KFI mount.

I got one two weeks ago for $94 and My leads were 1.5 -2 foot too short. The included leads would work if you mounted your solenoid Low on the firewall panel thing, but that seemed silly to bury a part down low that’s hard to get to when we have so much room under the hood.

Had to buy new cable and make my own leads.

For the total price I should have shopped superwinch or some others to see if they have longer leads.

You can normally find most Harbor Freight coupons online. They always offer at least 10% off if you look hard enough When I lived near one of their stores I would print a few "xx% Off" coupons every month and keep in the glovebox.
I just found this 20%off
Digital Savings and Coupons from Harbor Freight (and it has the free flashlight offer)
A few stores may balk at taking these but I have never had one refused.

Their synthetic winch rope works well too. It goes on sale from time to time for about $25. I have two of them, one spooled on the winch and one with loops in both ends for extending the winch line.

Mount it up high and you won't have a problem. Mines mounted to the Strong Made bumper. I'm in and out of mud and creeks a lot and haven't had any issues. Of course since the locker install I've only needed it once :D

Going on 2 yrs, no problems. By mounting rocker switch on ROPS at side view mirror, can reach it and guide cable back in. Never used wired remote since getting a wireless remote.
