I just installed a wired one, pretty easy, as I already had ignition switched power to the top/front roll bar for my tablet, phone charger and refrigerator freezer (okay, I lied about that last part).

$50 for camera and display. I did have to make a wedge to mount the camera, as the roof is sloped, and the camera wouldn't declinate down enough to see the jack I have mounted for a back bumper. I wanted to see up close to avoid puttin a wheel over a mountain trail switchback where you have to go forward/reverse multiple times to make the tight corner. Ended up being a clean install, comes on with key, but if not needed there's an easy to reach button on the display to turn it off.

I just installed upper soft doors on my pioneer 1000 so had to remove my seismic side view mirrors so bought a 40 dollar back up camera off of Amazon and temporarily installed it. I think it will work out fine and keep me from backing into things. 🤞

I have a front and back camera mounted. The monitor is mounted right in front of my steering wheel. The 5" monitor has a button to switch from front to back. I have it always on. I think it's better with narrow field of vision. It's a little better than just a novelty. Backing up to drop-offs may not require getting out to check distance. And I can see if someone is behind me. My front camera needs a more narrow field of vision. It is good when going up a steep peak to be sure there isn't an immediate turn either direction.

I installed a cheap $25 wired cam for a backup camera on the Pioneer. It's powered through a rocker switch on the dash. Hit the switch, wait about 7-8 seconds, then tap the camera shortcut on my Agama screen launcher and it fires up the camera app. I have the tablet set to auto-connect to the SSID that the camera broadcasts, so it pretty much comes right up (no need to go into WiFi connections and manually connect). It gets the job done. Made a little custom bracket to mount the camera under the roof.

I'm gonna get one for my wife. If there is one tree in the middle of 40 acres, she will somehow back in to it.
Thank the Good Lord that I am not the only one married to one!! Sheesh. My wife has all the cameras and won’t look at them as she is backing into something….oh and the beeping alarm is just the beat of the music to her also!!🤣😂🤣

She even got around to marking her territory on the front end, a couple of weeks ago. She was giving a fellow female senior citizen her first UTV (and probably her last) ride and hit a tree with the front end. Busted some of the plastic around the headlight. Apparently that is part of an assembly that is not cheap.

I'm not sure which camera I have. But it has a visor over it that seems to keep it pretty clean. I also have a front camera that stays clean. Rarely need to clean them off. My suggestion for you is to get the narrowest field of vision you can, depending what you want to use it for. I want mine to give a clear picture of how close I am when backing up or when trying to peek over the top of a hill. Is there a sharp turn left or right? Is straight ahead over a cliff? If you have a huge monitor, wide angle will be okay.
