What!Three more loads and i'll have 'er paid off
I didn't even think about that at the time so I was not looking for it.Hey Ghost, Did your rear self adjusting shocks perform as designed?
That makes me feel a bit better. My truck has auto levelling and it adjusts as soon as a load is applied. The auto level is supposed to take some riding time to cycle the suspension for it to "pump" it's self up.
Isn't it Honda's intention to balance the load side to side and make the drive more stable not to return it back to a pre load height while still loaded.I bet if you went faster it would, you got a heck of a load and I would guess it needs to really bounce a few times. Truck suspension has a compressor to automatically air it up. I had it on a Yukon drove me nuts in cold weather as it ran so much. Also can am has it on there limited models atv and commanders. And it's a nightmare in the winter, it gets condensation in it .

I'll have a closer look today. Suddenly collecting fire wood is a lot more fun - now that I have the P1000.

Yup - my truck is computer controlled with a compressor.
When I saw the 1000 had auto-levelling my thoughts went to what I already had experience with. I'm ok with a simpler system for this of vehicle. But I did buy the high end machine with a price to match so I have expectations. It is rated for 1000 pound payload and it does have a computer.
On the plus side, I ran a couple more loads today and noticed the machine feels very sloppy after loading but stabilizes quite a bit after driving a few hundred yards. I think each bump helps - as was mentioned earlier. It feels unnatural to ride it hard to make it ride better.
I think I'm due for some better tires too.
Overall I'm glad i got the auto-levelling cause it does help. It could be better.

You don't have to drive it hard, just drive it normal for a short distance and the movement of the shock will level itself.
LOL - I guess you're right. On my last ride I loaded up and drove like a maniac, trying to hit every bump to see how much suspension lift I could get. That must have been a sight if anyone saw me. But maybe you're right - I could drive normal. MAYBE. I still have a choice.
