Hi all, new to this group so I hope that I posted this in the correct spot. I am curious if anyone has done anything to their p1k as far as engine or transmission mods that actually made a difference in power. I know there is a few programmers out there but I don't think those make much of a difference, I'm more curious on the thought of a turbo and heavy duty clutches etc. Thoughts? I realize there is no turbo kits available at this time but a possibility in the future?

Welcome to the forum!

I haven't heard of much as far as performance for the engine. No aftermarket clutches yet either.

There is an internal gear reduction out that is still fairly new. It's supposed to be a big improvement in low gearing.

I have seen a few things on that internal gear reduction, I have been looking closely at it waiting for some more real reviews about it. I live in very steep ground, nothing flat about it so I bet it'd be nice. I wish they just had a remedy for the high reverse gear. That would be bad to the bone.

I know a guy that is a ECU master mind!! His name is Don I will call him tomorrow and ask him what he thinks he can do with the ECU on our 1000,s. I can't remember what state he is in. But when I call him I will ask. Then if a member lives close by he can take his machine to him and let him put it on the dyno He did my cb1100 and it will fly. He told me that Honda is the most detuned bike on the market.

Let's hope that our p1ks are the most de-tuned sxs on the market as well! I'm curious what the guy has to say keep us posted!

Isn't it crazy?! These things are unbelievably popular. I want to see a heavy duty clutch and turbo kit

I forgot to call him. But I will call him tomorrow. All he does is ECU work. He does lots of Goldwings and CBR1000rr he told me when he does the ECU on the CBR no other bike can touch it. He will need someone's PK1 and a service manual. Once he does one We can mail him our ECU and he will do his magic and mail it back. Cost around $300.

His name is Don. Phone 717-618-4212. I think in Pennsylvania. He should be able to disconnect in the ECU the trigger that when u go to park puts you back in auto mode rather than staying in manual mode. He can bump up the revlimeter some but still be safe. He can advance the timing at any given rpm and change the fuel/air ratio to match the timing. If he has someone's to put on a dyno he can really get the most out of it. It takes him a lot of time & research to do the first one. After that he can do them fast. He don't like doing just one because of all the time he has involved in it. So the more people that want it done will help us all out.

We need a local person to take their machine to him with a service manual. If someone wants to start a new thread about this. Crank it up & start a new thread.

That's what I did. I mailed him my ECU. I'm in Mississippi. I sent him my service manual with my ECU and mine was the first CB1100 that he did. After that a guy on the CB1100 forum took him his bike then lots of guys mailed him just their ECU.

He did mine just by using my manual to disconnect my speed limiter. Then he did my ECU air/fuel timing revlimeter just from is experience! The next guy took his bike in for dyno and fine tuning of everything. My bike ran fine but was never on dyno. I could of sent my ECU back to him after he did the guys bike on dyno but I was happy with the way mine ran.

Very interesting videos. Do you think that honda does something similar to their sxs by puting in safety modes?
