P1000 Any downside to leaving headlight switch on

So, in WI it is now required to always have your lights on.

The lights dont work with key off, so will it hurt anything to leave the switch turned to the on position?

I leave my light switch on low all the time. While riding or machine off in the garage.

I leave my switch in the On position all the time because of the WI law. No ill effects

I ALWAYS leave switch in low position on both P1k and Talon.

I always leave mine on. I sometimes have to drive the highway to get to trails and when on the trails I like the guys (when they are in front) to be able to see me behind me through the dust.

I leave mine on all the time in the Talon. I can see incoming trail traffic sooner when their lights are on, so I started doing the same and never turn it off unless I'm working on it in and need the key on.

i wired my tail lights to be on all the time when i did my cupholder mods.
