I've used these pre-oiled filters. No mess to deal with.

Wash and re-oil and reuse itI like that. Is it considered a "throw-away" or can it be cleaned/re-oiled, and used again?

I use a K&N filter and use K&N cleaner and oil. The Honda filter seemed to need cleaned every week.
P500 - K&N Air
I would agree...
thought about,...swapping
Cleaning it sucks...Just thinking . if the stock filter needed to be cleaned weekly , and the other didn't need cleaned as often , wouldn't that mean brand x isn't collecting / stopping as much dirt ?

Seen guys...do that..You would think that, but the K&N filter has fins giving it a lot more surface area. I don't know the exact figures but it's probably 4 or 5 times the surface area. I also run a pre-filter over top of the K&N.
Haha, yeah I know. The prefilter is so easy to install and clean. It's just like pulling a stocking over your face before you rob a bank. It's so quick and easy to do... why not?Seen guys...do that..
I'm pondering..
you know..the old guys..
