P1000 Accessory switch plate in roof

I’m new to the forum from Knoxville TN, I found what I think is a good deal on a holdover 2018 LE that I’m picking up next week. I’ve been doing some research on what upgrades I already want to make.

Has anyone installed their accessory switches in A box under the roof instead of mounting in the dash. Was thinking about building a box inside the roof just for accessory switches. I would like to see some examples and the pros and cons of both locations if so?

I have been working in a new product for a while now with Crossroads3d.com. It is an overhead switch box. We are planning to offer them for all models Pioneer and Talon models. Details are almost done as we decided on a final change in order to gain windshield compatibility. Pricing - TBD...
