IMO, if you’re going to do something sizable like 2,000 watt or greater to run power tools like a skill saw or drill, it would be best to leave your SXS running while in use.
But if you’d care to spend the money, the safest bet is an independent (isolated) deep cycle battery for the express purpose of powering your AC inverter. Not a part of your SXS’s electrical system at all and charged regularly on a maintainer while parked...
