Plan on getting arm guards for my 10005. Other than Honda oem guards was wondering which ones seem to be best for the money. Looked up some on eBay one that is aluminum has Honda cut out on the front ones but looks like they are held on by a u bolt has anyone used these.

Another vote for S&S here also. Great guards that have taken anything I threw at them. They've been on the shelf since I added arched arms. Gotta admit I'm enjoying the easy cleanup from not having them.

I agree with you there. I have used them for a while and not use them for a while and I’ve tore up CV boots with them installed and without. They do make clean up more difficult. They will also wear out your CV boots if you do not clean heavy mud out of them. That heavy mud can have rocks in it that will tear up the boots. I found out the hard way.

If mud is not your thing and you only need the protection from sticks, they are a good thing to do to your machine in my opinion.

Be careful what you buy, I've had several (500, 700, 1000 and atvs) have braking issues with aftermarket guards. They run the caliper when the wheels then and cause loss of brakes. If they rub the little plastic factory boot guard then their probably going to cause issues.

Anyone with S&S have to trim the tab on the front ones? The tab that sticks towards the middle would have to go above or below my skid plate. So gonna have to cut it down.

Also think i saw something before that someone had to trim the rears after removing the sway bar? anyone run into this?

S&S sent me 2 rears for the same side as well... kinda wishing i would have gone with factory UTV ones at this point instead.

Factory UTV makes some nice parts. Maybe with the issues you have it would be better to return the S&S parts and upgrade to FUTV

Thats what i just sent them an email about. I would have to pay return shipping though which cant be cheap as heavy as these are.

There is another post on here about A arm guards and some people have had trouble with the factory utv A arm guards popping off I don't know how you would find that post

I trimmed my rears a little but it wasn't a "have to" case. More for looks than anything. Haven't had any trouble at all out of my S&S guards or skids. I did upgrade the 1/4-20 bolts to 5/16.
