A friend of mine got me a pair of 80 watt headlight bulbs
Bragging to a buddy about my mod he mentionned that this high wattage
may be too high, popping the fuse or stress electrical system.

Since i know nothing, what are your thoughts?

Are the LED?
Most likely 80w for the pair.
And if they are a China's version of 80w.
Then they probably only pulls 3 amps.

80÷12=6.67 amps.

I think the wattage rating of a lamp is one lamp only so the calculation is:

80x2= 160 /12 =13.3 amps.

When the motor is running, alternator is turning, voltage output is around 14 volts total amp draw may be slightly greater.

I don't know if either or both factory OEM lamps and/or replacements are LED or incandescent but it matters. LEDs, of course, draw less current than incandescent bulbs.

In theory, increased current draw could be a problem but your Pioneer will probably only pop a fuse if current draw is too high. I doubt you'll overheat any wiring.
