P500 40A fuse

I found this fuse where my 500 sat. Not sure where its from and the new owner has not reported any issues.

I am pretty sure that is the spare , look inside the battery box , there should be a spot to store it......IIRC

I went out in the garage and pulled my battery box lid off just to verify that I am not crazy.........lol

This is a pic of the inside of the lid where this little bugger is stored

And this is the location of the 40a fuse , it's behind the little red cover.

The little red cover removed


Any time you remove your battery box lid , make sure the spare 40a fuse is still in storage and it didn't fall out!

Thanks. I contacted the new owner and I'm getting up with him to give him the fuse.

Probably a dumb question but What does it do ? In other words how will i know i need to replace it ?

It's most likely the main fuse , if the 40amp fuse blows , nothing will work on the bike.
