Has anyone had success with Y harness style 4-point seat belts, similar to the one pictured? I’m thinking this could attach to headrest mount vs. adding an additional anchor bar.

Speaking from a standpoint of no real world experience with one.....I have to guess that the shoulder belts would rub on your neck. I wouldn't bother to even try them personally. Hopefully someone can offer you real world advice though.

That’s my dilemma, the stock belt is getting into my wife’s neck. Exploring my options...thanks for the feedback.

Not sure the belt above will be more comfortable. The anchor point for the harnesses is pretty important.
I feel the added cross bar gives you much more adjustability and that in turn may help with the wives comfort. I actually have 5 point setup in mine. This helps with keeping the lap belt in the correct position.

I know its a PITA to get the belts properly adjusted, but you never plan on having a need for them. Also keep the nets in place!!!!!!
BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT!!!!

I have four point on mine. 2020 1000-5. I used the brick city fab harness bar. Was worth the money install was 10 minutes. Even mounted 4 points in the back seats. My kids are little just wanted to be sure if this thing goes over there stuck inside. I used aces racing harnesses. So far there great. A little more restrictive than oem belts but comfortable and feel very sturdy.

Safety is worth the investment. Now have a bar from brick city and harnesses from summit racing on order. I also did more research on this site and liked what I read about the versatility of a camlock system. So shelled out extra for camlocks and harness padding for comfort.

Can you still close the rear seats?

Yes. You have to position the belts flat. Takes maybe an extra 10 seconds , but easily done. Mine only get folded up for transport
