32s with 1000X-4

I'm probably beating a dead horse but can't find a clear-cut answer.

Are there going to be spacing issues or rubbing with 32" rubber on a 2021 Talon 1000x-4? If so, do I buy spacers to alleviate, or just avoid this at all cost? I know this is a longer model and sits lower(id assume due to weight/length).

I'd like to have my wheels, winch etc all here before my Talon arrives at the dealership for pickup. Thanks in advance.

Yes, that horse has long been killed.

"Will 32's rub?" is too vague of a question, there are too many variables so you will get many different answers. The facts are...

• True 32's on an X (2 or 4) can rub in the front. Mainly turning left with the suspension compressed. A flat style tread is worse than a more rounded tread.
• Stock front wheels will cause the least amount of rubbing.
• 7" wheels with less than +50mm offset wheels will make it worse.
• Spacers will make it worse.
• Certain aftermarket skids will make it worse.

A good solution is to install forward offset control arms from SuperATV.

Also, you have another consideration. The bigger/heavier you go with your tire/wheel combo, the more power loss you will experience. If you ride mainly from sea level to 5,000 feet, probably not a big deal. If you mainly ride above 5,000 feet you need to make sure you are OK with the power loss, especially if you are adding a lot of accessories and weighing the machine down.

Thank you for the thorough update, sounds like I should wait then. That or get a smaller tire, maybe a 30-31? I was told the stock tires are soft and not the best for trail riding so wanted an upgrade.

Yes, especially if you ride hard, I have occasional (2-3 times when out riding for a day) rubbing on the front drivers wheel and I’m running 30’s that are a true 30.5”......

6-1 front and 4-3 rear system 3 sb4 wheels and 31x10 XM310 system 3 tires were exactly 64” wide front and rear on my talon X4.

No rubbing.

Doesn't look like the XM310 comes in a 10 wide anymore (only 9.5) and the 31X9.5X14 is only 30.6 diameter with a slightly rounded tread so no, they most likely will not rub on an X.

Yep they are 9.5” wide.

Not sure how much more square the tread can get.

And I can confirm they do not rub.

Is yours a 4 seater? Not sure if there's much of a difference, the one that I ordered is a 21 live valve 4 seater.

I have to do some google work to figure out all those numbers!

I'm guessing I have to do with your offset and maybe even spacers, I'll have to dig a bit.

Either way sounds like I may need new wheels and tires if that's the case.
