I compare my 2019 with my 2020 Talon with about 3,500 miles and they both run just like new. Honda needs some improvements but its worth it to fix the air filter intake and suspension and have a wonderful high quality Sport Model. I will be selling it next year with around 33,000 miles and should still have one year of warranty left.

I checked my air filter at 10,000 miles and it was still like new. I expected it to still be clean but its important to check it every 10,000 miles. The $30.00 under roof pre filter needs to be cleaned or replaced every 5,000 to 10,000 miles depending on following too close in the dust on group rides. I greased the O-rings and always wipe down the cases with WD40.

Just changed the oil and filters, getting it ready for 10,000 miles of Fast Sand Wash riding this winter. I still have the need for speed. My 89 year old E-bike buddy said I will get over that in my late 80’s.

Only drove it around 100 miles this summer. My steering rack failed and the new rack has a new part number so the rack must be improved. My left front wheel was damaged from rubbing on the lower A-arm on full lock turns to the left. Honda welded a small support to protect the arm. Normally there is one inch clearance at full lock.

I rode my E-Bikes a bit over 3,000 miles this summer and lost 27 pounds. I needed to lose some weight and my mobility has improved. Easy to get Happy with that.

Eating less is probably the hardest thing I have every done. No snacks and small healthy meals. I see a lot of older people in wheelchairs due to being way overweight so that helps keep me motivated.

The rubbing issue on the A-arm is poor alignment, probably from the new rack install.

When the Talon first hit the dealers, they came off the truck rubbing on quite a few units.
PaulF wrote up how to center the rack, I pasted it in the New Talon Owners thread, post 117, linked in my sig fwiw.

There was lots of play in the old rack and it was a problem for about 5,000 miles. The new rack is centered and there is one inch clearance to the A-arm on each side. Turning to the left you could see the rack go out and back allowing the wheel to hit the A-arm. I run one UNI filter 10,000 miles and it would still rev out in 5th gear with 30's on. The next one was changed at 9,000 miles. I like the new automotive air filter better. It comes oiled and costs around $30, not worth the trouble cleaning it.
