P1000 2016 p1k or wait on 2017

I'm going to buy a p1k soon. I can get a 2016 p1k deluxe for $14997. Looks like the 2017 are going to be $17399. My question is are there going to be enough changes for the money. Somebody please help me make up my mind

Few changes.
I wouldn't pass up a deal on a 16 if I was looking.
But we are still unaware if the 17 model "clutch shift point update" will help with the clutch problems some have had.
too early to say yet.

I am picking up a 16 on Friday for about that, other than the mode staying on the transmission theres not a big enough difference to warrant a $3k premium in my book.

I waited to see what changes the 17's had coming and I bought a 16 with hard top for 15,600 out the door. For me, there weren't significant enough changes to warrant the price difference. Not to mention I had bad luck waiting on my p500, it took a month longer to get it than it was supposed to and I ended up getting it the night before we had a trip planned. I wasn't going to take that chance this year on the takeover!

I am sure they will discount the 17s, maybe not as much as the 16s but they still won't be msrp. I am waiting as reliability is paramount for me.

If you don't care about waiting then wait. If it was me I would save the money and get more accessories with the extra money.

I went for a 16 because I dont like the changes to the side bolsters on the cage or the nanny state satbelt limiter.

has anyone heard about Interstate warranty? Southern Honda in chattanooga offers if for $1260 he said it covers alot more than the factory warranty. where the factory warranty wont cover it due too normal wear this warranty will cover it. the only difference other than $$$$ it is for 5 years

I'm going to buy another P1K3. But I'm going to wait and get it in the fall when they drop the prices. Right now you can get a 16 for less then 13K, about 2500 below MSRP.
