P1000 1000-5 keeps shutting off

any of you guys had this happen? it was running fine then just shut off. after it sits for a few minutes it will start up and go about 50' and shut off again. the engine light blinks 1 long 3 short blinks so im sure that means something. any help is appericeated since hunting season is over next weekend! couldn't have happened at a more inconvenient time of course

There's 3 separate grounds that need to have good connection. In the manual it shows where they are located. Probably a good start. I believe the manual also talks about what the various blinks mean.

If I'm understanding my manual, 1 long blink = 10 + 3 = error 13. 13 is showing rear fuel injector.

i checked the grounds i could get to and they were tight. i only use this thing on the farm so there is not a lot of mud or anything built up on it.

May be just that the plug isn't "clicked" into place.

That's what I found, too. @knotsatisfied I'd seriously suggest purchasing a service manual. I've learned a lot about the machine from mine.

I have 2 of them now one for 2013 cb1100 and one for 2014 CB1100 deluxe with also included the 13 model with gold out wiring diagrams. Look at your part # then look at mine both the same.
